Shawn Porter gives option to Ryan Garcia-‘Tank’ potential fight Davis

A potential fight between Ryan Garcia and Gervonta ‘The Tank’ Davis is the hottest topic in town at the moment and Shawn Porter has his say.
The former world welterweight champion who retired last yearis a famous internet face and voice who works as a pro and has her own podcast called The Porter Way.
Right before Garcia faces Javier Fortuna at the weekend Porter sat down with Fight Hub TV to talk about the potential battle between ‘KingRy’ and ‘Tank’.
“I don’t think he can beat Tank Davis. He is saying that he will take him down. He’s selling the war. “
“If he loses to Tank Davis… that’s how he loses. If he loses a game, if it’s a draw… if the worst doesn’t happen and he doesn’t get killed and he just loses the skirmish, create a great teamfight, like like kt Rolly. “
Comparison between Garcia and Romero
Porter is referring to Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero. The outspoken 26-year-old spoke about the talk in the build-up to the fight against Gervonta Davis two months ago. Though showing off the Tank’s power well was too much to deal with and in the sixth round the fight was over.
‘Showtime’ Porter can see the comparison between Garcia and Romero.
“Before the war, we were like this guy was a clown. Then we were like he did more than we expected, hi to him. They will do the same thing with ‘KingRy’. It’s unfortunate that his fighting style has been accepted by the whole boxing world.”
Following Garcia’s sixth-round win on Saturday night, his promoter Oscar De La Hoya took to social media to encourage fans to get behind the fight against Davis.
The 49-year-old man later said that he planned to contact representatives of the Baltimore fighter in the hope that a war can be made. However, one of the many obstacles to overcome is its weight.
On Saturday, Garcia’s win was 140lbs (Super Lightweight) and the 23-year-old said he would not then return to the 135lb Lightweight where Davis holds the WBA ‘Regular’ title.
