Shark Tank Judge Replies To Harsh Goenkas Tweet On His Companys Losses

Many internet users responded to Mr Mittal’s tweet by asking him to give real numbers.

Industrialist Harsh Goenka often tweets about encouraging and uplifting content for his fans and followers on social media. However, this time he posted a tweet about the Shark Tank India judges and their businesses, claiming that the majority of their ventures are losing money. He said that whenever he “thinks of sharks” he associates it with the Hollywood movie ‘Jaws’ and bleeds. Shaadi.com founder and Shark Tank judge Anupam Mittal has now responded to the Chairman of the RPG Team calling his data “biased and incomplete”.

Mr. Goenka tweeted a screenshot of the profits of companies headed by judges at Shark Tank in 2022. Claim data shows that only Aman Gupta’s BoAt company made a profit of Rs 79 crore . Amit Jain, Founder of CarDekho suffered a loss of Rs 246 crore while Lenskart of Peyush Bansal suffered a loss of Rs 102 crore in the financial year. It also shows that Shaadi.com, founded by Anupam Mittal, reported a loss of Rs 27 crore and Sugar Cosmetics, led by Vineeta Singh, a loss of Rs 75 crore. Mr. Goenka tweeted along with the image, “I like #SharkTankIndia as a show and I think it’s a great platform for our budding entrepreneurs. But whenever I think about sharks , I think about the movie ‘Jaws’ and bleed!”

Responding to the same, Mr Mittal said: “I know you mean it as a joke, so with all due respect, sir, I think you were reacting to what appeared to be superficial data, biased and incomplete. Nice to learn from the stalwarts, but just to clarify, like you, sharks don’t bleed red, we bleed blue, and that’s why at why we do what we do.”

Many internet users responded to Mr Mittal’s tweet by asking him to give real numbers. “With respect to Anupam, could you please share complete and factual data for your fans. Even I don’t agree with bleeding,” one user said.

“Remove all doubts and give him @hvgoenka complete and accurate data and prove him wrong,” a second added.

Another user said, “Obviously, #SharkTankIndia is a show where entrepreneurs with big losses make entrepreneurs judge and humiliate entrepreneurs who make profits.”

Some users also supported “shark” and said that he gave “good answers”.
