‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ and ‘Charmed’ actress Shannen Doherty has died at the age of 53 after a battle with cancer.

Shannen’s spokesperson, Leslie Sloane, released a statement on Sunday, July 14, which read: “A devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog Bowie. The family requests their privacy at this time so they can grieve in peace.”
The public found out about her illness after she filed a lawsuit against her former business managers in 2015, accusing them of mismanaging her money and allowing her health insurance to lapse. The Memphis native later shared intimate details about her treatment following a mastectomy (removal of the entire breast). She posted a photo of her first day of radiation therapy in December 2016. She called the process “scary.” The actress revealed that cancer reach phase four in 2020.
