Shakur Stevenson keeps going up after strong win


Shakur Stevenson shows no signs of slowing down.

The now 135-pound talented athlete dominated another good boxer on Friday in Newark, New Jersey, with ease. beat 2016 Olympic champion Robson Conceicao after losing his 130-pound title on the scale the day before.

The win wasn’t as epic as his impressive wins over title winners Jamel Herring and Oscar Valdez, who were more respected than Conceicao before meeting Stevenson. For example, the Brazilian player also lost extensive decision-making power to Valdez.

So Stevenson won’t make the Top 10 on Boxing Junkie’s pound-for-pound list based on this performance.

At the same time, another dazzling performance against a legitimate candidate deserves credit. With that in mind, he moved up two steps, from number 14 to number 12.
