Shakira had some fun on Valentine’s Day alone, when she danced to some SZA at home on Tuesday, February 14. The 46-year-old singer broke up with her ex by Gerard Pique expenses, singing to the harsh farewell tune “Kill Bill” for a short time videotapes on her Instagram. She mopped the floor as she spoke to the chorus: “I could kill my ex, not the best idea/His new girlfriend is next, how did I get here?/I have I can’t kill my ex, even though I still love him/It’s better to be in prison than alone.”
While Gerard, 36, is most likely celebrating Valentine’s Day with his new girlfriend Clara Chia, Shakira is cleaning the house. In the video, she’s wearing an all-black suit with a pair of super high heels, and she looks so happy, laughing and lip-syncing along. Fans in the comments have hinted that she is alluding to her breakup with Gerard in the short video. Listeners also hope that Shakira will cover or collaborate with SZA on a song.
Shakira is not afraid to take pictures of her ex since breaking up in her music. During the January collaboration with DJ strange, The “She Wolf” singer dissected her ex with some epic lines. “You think you hurt me, but you made me stronger/ Women don’t cry anymore, they make money,” she sings. “A wolf like me doesn’t have time for newbies like you / I was too much for you, that’s why you’re with someone more like you now.”
In her first new song after the couple split, after their 11-year relationship, Shakira also sings about the pain she’s going through. the song “Monotonia” in October. “It was the fault of the monotony that I never said anything, but it hurt/I knew this was going to happen,” she sings. “You, aloof with your attitude, and it makes me restless / You don’t give even half, but I know that I gave more than you.”
Despite being trolled, it seems that Gerard is very focused on his new romance. Months after breaking up, he and Clara went to official Instagram, share a cute selfie together. He’s also recently talk about their relationship for the first time, appeared in Twitch Stream by Ibai Llanos, Talk about how she helps him stay stylish. “The truth is I go with my girlfriend to the stores and she buys them for me. I’m a puppet,” he quipped.
