According to the documentary’s official description, it’s “a poetic image of Sha’Carri Richardson’s quest, a young track and field athlete, to achieve her dream of qualifying for the Olympic Games. … a reflection on time, loss and hope, ‘Sub Eleven Seconds’ distills the maxim of “10,000 hours” on Sha’Carri’s path to mastery, as she manages to run the 100-meter track. in less than 11 seconds on the world stage.

In the film’s trailer, which she also shared on her Twitter account, Sha’Carri can be heard talking about her overnight success in the athletics world:

“Time is my blessing and my curse. On the track, I was lucky to run fast. Deviated, time fooled me. You don’t know when something or someone will be taken from you”.
