The Queensland deputy premier has doubled down on plans to use a disputed central Queensland waterway as the site for rowing and canoeing competitions at the 2032 Brisbane Olympics.

Jarrod Bleijie has stood firm in his position that the central Queensland river at the centre of ongoing debate will proceed as a venue for the aquatic disciplines when the Games come to Brisbane.
