The kicks off later this month, and Blizzard has released a gameplay trailer for one of the sequel’s main additions, Sojourn. She is the 33rd hero in Overwatch but is the first character introduced . Sojourn is the most suitable damage champion and you can watch her in action below.
Sojourn with two fire modes. The primary flame emits projectiles that rapidly accumulate energy on impact. With her secondary flame, you can fire that stored energy like a high-impact shot.
There is a scrolling ability called Power Slide. You should be able to cancel that with a high jump (similar to Moira’s Fade). She also has Disruptor Shot, a skill that applies a slow zone effect and deals damage to enemies within its radius.
Sojourn’s ultimate ability is called Overclock. This supercharges the shotgun’s secondary flame by automatically restoring energy. Shots fired while the skill is active will pierce through enemies, so if you can line up a pair, you can take out both at once. In other words, you’ll need the right targeting and positioning to get the most out of her.
Blizzard has also released a trailer that dives into the Sojourn origin story. She was a member of the Canadian Special Forces whose unit was affiliated with the Overwatch task force during the Omnic Crisis. She forged a partnership with Jack Morrison (aka Soldier: 76), and after the war, he recruited her into the group.
Sojourn is the first playable Black woman in the series. She will be in Overwatch 2 PvP beta, . The competitive side of the sequel will mark the change from six-man teams to and added new maps, updated game engine, ping system and many changes to the current hero list. Overwatch League will also play games using Overwatch 2 beta version when it comes back next month.
