The Oklahoma Sooners going to the SEC soon, along with the Texas Longhorns. And apparently, too much is not really a good thing. That is, at least according to the jurisdiction in the SEC.
Oklahoma has scheduled what appears to be not a conference game with both Georgia and Tennessee, but the second game in each series is now scheduled to take place after the Sooners are scheduled to join the SEC in year 2025.
That will eventually lead to scheduling conflicts. Technically, conference statement that “the conversion of Oklahoma to the SEC would disallow the entities involved from performing their respective contractual and home appearance obligations,” so they decided to disqualify them. remove the corresponding string completely.
That means Georgia’s game at Oklahoma scheduled for Saturday, September 9, 2023 has now been cancelled. Instead, the Bulldogs will play host to Ball State – which is a staggering drop (especially for fans) both in terms of competitive value and entertainment.
