It was another action-packed weekend in the Scottish Premiership with wins for Celtic, St Johnstone, Hibs and Livingston.
Celtic are five points ahead of the Scottish Premiership with an impressive 4-0 win over Rangers in their first Old Firm match of the season.
St Johnstone impressed in a 3-0 home win over St Mirren and featured three players in the team of the year.
Hibernian took up two places in this week’s team after a 1-0 win over Kilmarnock, while Dundee United had a player in their place after keeping their first clean sheet of the season in a goalless draw at Motherwell.
After impressing in a 1-0 win over Hearts, Livingston had a player join Aberdeen in last place after a 1-1 draw at Ross County.

5. Carljohan Eriksson (Dundee United) – 8.26 points
After moving nine games against Celtic last week, Carljohan Eriksson made amends with a man of the match in Dundee United’s 0-0 draw with Motherwell on Saturday. The 27-year-old made four saves in the deadlock at Fir Park, including a first-half penalty save to prevent Kevin van Veen from opening the scoring, as he stood in the middle of the score. 8.26.
4. Joe Newell (Hibernian) – 8.50 . rating
Joe Newell picked the perfect match to score his first goal of the season as Hibernian won 1-0 over Kilmarnock on Saturday. Newell outsold Sam Walker with one of three shots in the tight win, and it was a pity he didn’t add an assist after making three crucial passes. Three more tackles gave the 29-year-old an 8.50 rating by WhoScored.com.
3. Drey Wright (St. Johnstone) – 8.54 reviews
St. Johnstone easily won 3-0 over St Mirren at the weekend with Drey Wright putting on a man-of-the-match performance. Wright returned a rating of 8.54 in the win as he scored his second for St Johnstone midway through the second half. The 27-year-old also won five aerial duels, two interceptions and one tackle to feature in Scotland’s team of the week.
2. Liel Abada (Celtic) – 8.83 points
Celtic made their mark in the race to the Scottish title as they came back to win 4-0 over rivals Rangers with the success of Old Firm star Liel Abada. The 20-year-old scored twice in the home side’s resounding win, heading into the net with two of three shots, while two key passes and a successful dribble helped Abada score 8.83 .

With a score of 9.42, Livingston left-back Cristian Montano was WhoScored.com’s Scottish player of the week. The Colombian scored the only goal of the game in Livi’s 1-0 win over Hearts, and it was a pity he didn’t score an assist when creating five scoring opportunities. Four tackles, three interceptions and three dribbles limited the 30-year-old’s superb performance.
