Scott Morrison calls for Anthony Albanese to lose weight before election
Scott Morrison subtly digs into Anthony Albanese, saying that unlike the Labor leader, he is not ‘faking anyone else’.
The prime minister suggested losing 18kg of weight and transforming Mr Albanese’s lifestyle means he doesn’t know who he is, while speaking to Sky News’ Paul Murray Live on Monday night about the upcoming election.
‘I’m not pretending to be anyone else. I’m still wearing my sunglasses,’ he said as Murray burst into laughter.
‘Sadly, the clothes are the same. I’m about the same weight and I don’t mind a bit of Italian cuisine… I don’t pretend to be anyone else.
‘And when you’re the Prime Minister, you can’t pretend to be anybody else. You have to know who you are, because if you don’t know who you are, how will anyone else know? ‘
