Saweetie admits that she once believed that Quavo was “The One” in her life

The rapper appeared in the fifth episode of Please Caresha. During the first half of the interview, Yung Miami straight to the point with questions revolving around a three-year love story. And Saweetie didn’t hold back when she talked about why she loves Quavo.

And Caresha wasn’t shy about emphasizing the statement to Saweetie. Later in the conversation, she asked Saweetie to explain what made Quavo so special to her.

“I’m just hella infatuated with who he is,” said Saweetie. “Even if he wasn’t a rapper, I would still love him. It’s one of them type of objects. If he’s someone who likes a mailbox in a… as if I still want one of yours. “

Saweetie said the relationship ended because of “differences”

At one point, Yung Miami asked Saweetie if Quavo was cheating on her. The artist has chosen not to comment, saying instead that she has overcome the past.

“I think the past is just the past and I have moved on since,” Saweetie said. When asked if unions are toxic, Saweetie said, “I think we’ve been through a lot of growing pain together.”

As for why things ended, Saweetie said “differences” and stayed that way. Saweetie announced her solo status via Twitter in March 2021. She writes, “I’m single” before admitting the experience “Betrayal and trauma behind the scenes.”

Saweetie was silent about the exact cause of the trauma then and throughout the episode. Last year, speculations about the breakup became rampant after elevator video appear within a week of single notice. In the clip without sound, she and Quavo are fighting over a bag. After a few seconds, Saweetie fell to the ground and finally got out of the elevator. Come the next day, Saweetie issue a public statement about interlacing.

“This unfortunate incident happened a year ago, and while we have since reconciled and worked through this particular disagreement, there are simply too many other hurdles to overcome in our relationship. I and both of us have moved on,” Saweetie said in a statement. “I kindly ask everyone to respect my privacy during this time.”

Caresha made Saweetie talk about the bag in the video. For weeks, social media questioned what was inside the orange suitcase. The bag is one Call of Duty one, each Saweetie. However, she has kept all details of the matter leading up to the incident to herself, except for a lil’ sound.

So is Quavo talk to GQ about the video in July, said he didn’t like the way the public perceived the incident.

“If I may speak of it, I have never once in a million years wanted to harm any woman,” Quavo said. Later in the interview, he added, “I don’t like what people think. When they see the elevator thing, they think it’s abused, it’s crazy.”

Caresha also asked Saweetie’s feelings about Quavo getting back a custom Bentley Quavo worth $300,000 give her for Christmas 2020. That is Auction in June 2021 for about $280,000.

Saweetie laughed before saying that she later bought herself a Rolls Royce because she was so used to the experience.

And the alleged shopping trip with Lil Baby…

With that said, Yung Miami was bold with her questions – even addressing allegedly Lil Baby shopping spree. Caresha asks her to confirm Baby spent $100,000. Saweetie kept quiet, saying, “I don’t shop and say,” with a smile. She added that the story “casts light on something that it isn’t.” Meanwhile, in Saweetie’s world, she is “living [her] life.”

Saweetie says 2021 is tough, but she’s in a better place mentally

Despite the laid-back shopping and dating rumors, Saweetie admits last year was tough for her. However, she said the situation has finally subsided this year.

“I am much better than last year,” Saweetie said. “I feel like I had to overcome a lot last year and I’m finally back at center stage.” She then added, “Last year was tough for me. I lost someone I love. You know when you think someone is your soulmate and you don’t end up with them, it’s hard. You know, a lot of people think I’m just happy to be single, but I was hurt. Like I really love him. And I’m just doing a lot of soul searching.

Saweetie also says that sometimes her problem is thinking long term; when that plan doesn’t come true, her dream “as if shattered.”

Aside from the heartbreak of the breakup, Saweetie said the romance taught her “how to be a woman”.
