Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Printe Jr. revealed their 2022 Halloween costumes! Couple, who Married since 2002dressed as Buttercup and Westley in the 1987 Academy Award-nominated film, Princess Bride, which they showed off in their Instagram posts on October 31. Sarah, 45, looks like Princess Buttercup (who has been Robin Wright) in Buttercups’ most recognizable outfit: the red cape and gold front belt she wore when she was kidnapped. She also wore a long and curly wig to complete her look. Freddie, 46 years old, dressed as Cary ElwesWestley’s character in the black ninja costume he wore to rescue the damned man in distress. He devoted himself to his costume, equipping him with a mask, head scarf, and sword.
Sarah captioned the photo with Westley’s line, “As you wish.” In the film, Wesley screams those words as he rolls down a grassy hill after Buttercup angrily pushes him down. Freddie shared a post of his own Instagram page and simply annotate it with “Happy #Halloween”.
The Buffy: The Vampire Slayer alum has been in Halloween mode for the past week. On October 25, she arrived Instagram dress like Camila Mendes and Maya Hawkecharacters from their new Netflix series, Revenge. In the show, Sarah plays the principal of the private school Camila and Maya’s characters attend, Rosehill High School. Sarah made it clear that she wished she could like the school uniforms by noting the photo, “I told @jennkaytin that I’m jealous because I never get to wear those amazing outfits that she designed the Rosehill uniform…so…. But now the bigger question… am I Eleanor or Drea?!? #dorenge ”.
Plus, Sarah took to Instagram to participate in the viral Spirit Halloween masquerade meme by sharing a costume of herself. Costume, seen here. Of course, each description represents previous movies Sarah has starred in: Evil intentions, I know what you did last summerBuffy the Vampire Slayer, and live-action Scooby Doo, in which she starred as Daphne. “In case anyone needs a last minute Halloween costume,” she quips in the caption.
Sarah is one of dozens of celebrities who have shared their Halloween costumes this vampire season. For example, Jennifer Garner dress up like two silly ghost characters with her lovely puppy, Kendall Jenner dress like Jessie from Toy Storyand TODAY co-host Willie Geist disguised as Elvis.
