Santa Claus to visit Sunland Park soon

Santa will be making his annual Christmas Eve visit to Sunland Park, as hundreds of children in the area will receive Christmas presents as part of a massive toy-giving program run by the County Sheriff’s Department. Organized by El Paso. Santa and his Chariot will pull into the parking lot at Sunland Park Racecourse and Casino Saturday, December 17 at 10:00am
More than 800 new toys are expected to be donated during the event to children selected by local schools in Sunland Park, Santa Teresa and La Union. Gifting Christmas toys is a long-standing tradition of Sheriff’s Posse, who first started distributing toys to children in Sunland Park in the 1960s. More than 1,100 toys will be given to children who can. no presents under the tree this Christmas through this program.
Mark Hettinger, General Manager at Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino said: “Giving back to the community is part of our workplace culture and we love the toy giveaway here.
