During the event, Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy S23, its latest trio of flagship smartphones. The event will take place at The Masonic Auditorium, attended by members of the press. Samsung also plans to live stream the event on its website and YouTube. The fun starts at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET.

What to expect from Unpacked

Samsung is said to be announcing the Galaxy S23 series of smartphones during the Unpacked event. If the company sticks to its established naming pattern, which we fully expect, it means we’ll see the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Those names translate to phones of the right size, price, and specs with a good, better, and best approach.

As you can see in the invitation image above, there are three consecutive focus circles. That arrangement looks a lot like the camera arrangement on Samsung phones, with all the lenses lined up vertically on the back of the phone’s case.

Perhaps Samsung is heralding camera improvements? I think it’s possible. There are rumors that Samsung will launch a The 200-megapixel camera in the S23 Ultrait’s just crazy plum to think about.

Samsung usually has one or two other devices to announce alongside new phones, and this year it’s anyone’s guess what the company will do. We could see new Galaxy tablets or maybe even a new Windows laptop.

Samsung’s line of smartwatches isn’t due for a refresh just yet, but that hasn’t stopped the company from releasing new models in the past.
