Samsung may soon launch Image Clipper feature for Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy S22 Series, etc.
Samsung recently started rolling out the latest One UI 5.1 update to some Galaxy devices. This operating system comes with a proprietary feature called Image Clipper, which allows users to easily crop objects from photos in the Gallery app. It launched with One UI 5.1 and is currently only available in the Galaxy S23 series, although more Galaxy devices receive One UI 5.1. A trusted tip has now suggested that some other Galaxy devices will get the Image Clipper feature soon.
According to a tweet by tipster Garyeon Han, the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S21, and Galaxy S22 series could get the Image Clipper feature soon. In addition, Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4, along with other foldable models such as Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Flip 5G can also receive get this update. Finally, the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra are also expected to receive the Image Clipper update for the Gallery app soon.
As mentioned earlier, some of these Galaxy handsets have received One UI 5.1 update. However, the Image Clipper feature is not available in all smartphones except the recently launched one Galaxy S23 line up. This Image Clipper feature now allows Galaxy S23 users to press and hold to instantly crop objects from photos in the Gallery app. These cropped images can be copied, shared or saved as brand new images.
We can point this feature on our Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Ultra review unit. We found that the Image Clipper feature also works during video playback, as long as the video is paused.
Samsung quickly released One UI 5.1 update for its handsets after disclosure it alongside the Galaxy S23 series earlier this month.
