Samsung Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S23 series, and others will get new AI features with One UI 6.1.1 update

Samsung officially launched the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 in July. These latest launches come with a new One UI 6.1.1 update that includes a bunch of Galaxy AI features like Sketch to Image and chat support. This new update is said to be coming to the company’s other flagship smartphones and even tablets.

Tech magazine SamMobile was the first to spot this new detail when it reported that Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphone users could notice the new One UI 6.1.1 update on their devices in South Korea.

Samsung confirms One UI 6.1.1 update for flagship smartphones

Samsung has officially confirmed that it will be rolling out the new One UI 6.1.1 update to previous launches including the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S23 series, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and the Galaxy Tab S9 tablet. This new update will arrive in North America and Europe on September 9 this year on the day of Apple’s big launch. It is believed that Samsung’s new One UI 6.1.1 update will likely be rolled out to smartphones launched before 2022. However, this is yet to be confirmed by the company as it is unclear whether older hardware will support the Galaxy AI features.

The translation feature allows users to translate different languages for communication over calls. The chat support feature helps users draft emails, letters, social media posts, and any other content by providing prompts.
The note support feature allows users to create note summaries and the transcript feature helps them create notes from voice recordings.

The PDF overlay translation feature allows users to translate and overlay content in PDF files as well as translate text displayed on charts and images.
The circle to search feature helps users gather the necessary information by circling whatever is displayed on their current screen. It also includes an audio search feature that can be used to solve difficult math problems.
The sketch to photo feature allows users to enhance their photos by creating additional visual options for the original photo.

Portrait Studio allows users to create portraits in various styles such as watercolor and 3D cartoon.
The slow motion feature slows down the video speed instantly without reducing image quality.
