Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra Tipped to Feature Camera Sensor 200 Megapixel: Details


The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has been tipped to come with a 200-megapixel camera. The tipper also added that the main camera sensor has not been released yet. Samsung announced its 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP1 sensor last September. A report this May said an improved 200-megapixel sensor, called the ISOCELL HP3 is being developed by Samsung Electronics’ mobile division, and Samsung Electro-Mechanics is nearing completion. This sensor is expected to debut on the Korean company’s upcoming flagship smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra could be the company’s first handset with the new sensor.

According to reliable tipper Ice universe (Twitter: @UniverseIce), Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone could be equipped with a 200-megapixel camera. As mentioned earlier, the tipper also added that the sensor involved has yet to be announced.

To recall, Samsung announced its 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP1 sensor last September. One report This May it was said that an improved 200-megapixel sensor, called ISOCELL HP3 is being developed by mobile division Samsung Electronics and Samsung Electro-Mechanics and it is said to be nearing completion. The latest leak suggests that the Galaxy S23 Ultra could be a smartphone equipped with the new sensor. This sensor is said to be an upgraded version of the ISOCELL HP1, which uses new pixel-binning technology to provide a maximum image resolution of 200 megapixels.

The features and specifications of the Samsung ISOCELL HP3 sensor are yet to be revealed – the company has yet to confirm the existence of the camera sensor. The sensor is expected to offer 200-megapixel resolution for image capture, making it one of the largest sensors installed in any handset.

Motorola’s upcoming Motorola Frontier overturned to equip the 200-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HP1 sensor. Xiaomi is also set to launch its first 200-megapixel camera phone in the second half of 2022, according to report.
