Samsung Galaxy S21 FE starts receiving October 2022 update


Shortly after rolling out the October 2022 update for the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S22 series in some regions, SAMSUNG Start rolling out updates for Galaxy S21 FE in India, as reported by SamMobile. The update brings October 2022 Android Security patches, bug fixes and more.
According to the report, the latest software update carries firmware version G990EXXU3CVI8. This indicates that the update for the Galaxy smartphone has model number G990E, which is the model number of the Galaxy S21 FE being sold in India.
In terms of changes, the update includes Android security patches along with improved system security and stability. Although the company has not clarified the exact details of the security and stability update.
If you happen to own a Galaxy S21 FE in India, you must have received an update notification. If you haven’t already, go to Settings → Software update → Check for updates.
Galaxy S21 FE: Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE was launched earlier this year just before the launch of the Galaxy S22 series. The phone is a Fan Edition of last year’s Galaxy S21 series. In terms of features, the smartphone is powered by Exynos 2100SoC paired with up to 8GB smack and 128GB memory. The handset boasts a 6.4-inch 120Hz FHD+ Super AMOLED display.
Galaxy S21FE is equipped with a trio of rear cameras including 12MP + 12MP + 8MP sensors and a 32MP front camera. Supporting this smartphone is a 4500mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.
