‘I became more cautious and emotional about the people I knew and the tragedies that befell or befall them.

‘I think about both of those people really almost every day for so many different reasons.’
Warne passed away on March 4, the first day of his holiday in Thailand on the island of Koh Samui, after suffering a heart attack in his luxury villa at the age of 52.
A private memorial service with Shane’s family was held in mid-March, followed by a state funeral at Cricket Ground on March 30.
‘It affected me two deaths that I experienced. And dear Amanda, this coming Sunday is the anniversary of her death and that really gets me around’ he said
Sam and Amanda were a couple for 20 years before getting married in November 2020
On his own podcast You can’t be serious, Newman revealed he went to get fish and chips the night she died before quickly returning home.
He was worried after his wife didn’t answer any of his calls.
Newman walked into his Melbourne apartment to find his longtime partner dead on the floor. She had a stroke.

He performed CPR on her for 20 minutes – even though he knew it was too late.
‘I got home and walked in the door and the TV was on in the bedroom. So I looked down there and was in her underwear – obviously she was either in bed or she got out of bed to get something to eat,’ he said.
‘She was lying there on the bricks outside the laundromat and as soon as I saw her I knew she was dead, I just knew it.
‘I called 000 and a very helpful person said you should try CPR and she talked to me about it.
“I think about those two really almost every day for so many different reasons,” he said
‘I have the phone on speaker and I’m pumping this poor woman lying there looking so peaceful, obviously dead, but the moderator said keep doing it in case there’s a spark live in her.
‘So in 20 minutes, I’ll do CPR for what I know is a corpse.’
Newman calls his soul mate ‘loyal and loving, protective and strong will’ in podcast.
