Sam Darnold’s season could be in jeopardy less than a week after losing the Carolina Panthers’ starting quarterback game to Baker Mayfield.
During the Panthers’ pre-season game Friday night against the Buffalo Bills, Darnold appeared to have suffered a serious left ankle injury.
Bills rookie CJ Brewer’s defensive save touched Darnold as he tried to throw the ball away. As Darnold made his way to the crowd, his left ankle rolled violently under Brewer’s body.
The coaches went to see Darnold before being taken off the field.
