Salim Merchant to release Sidhu Moose Wala‘s song on September 2; as a tribute will share revenue with his family

The song was recorded in Chandigarh in July 2021 and it also features vocals by Afsana Khan. In addition, to pay tribute to the late singer, composer Salim Merchant said he will share the revenue from the song with Sidhu’s family.

This song called Jaandi Vaar is a tribute. dedicated to Sidhu and in memory of him. Part of the proceeds will go to Sidhu’s family. It has @sidhu_moosewala and @itsafsanakhan. In the video, he can be heard saying, “Hi everyone, a lot of people ask me about the release date of the song I recorded with Sidhu Moose Wala. So now the time has come. We recorded in July 2021 in Chandigarh. I met Afsana Khan last year and she introduced me to Sidhu”.

Sidhu is not in us today but his thoughts and voice are in this song and that’s why we released this song as a tribute to Sidhu’s fans who who loved him and all the people around the world who loved his songs. In honor of Sidhu, we have decided that whatever revenue we collect from this song, we will give a portion of it to his parents. The name of this song is Jaan Di Vaar and it will be released on September 2,” said Salim Merchant.

Sidhu Moose Wala was murdered on May 29, 2022, in Mansa Punjab. Sidhu’s assassination not only shocked Punjab or India but the whole world.
