Sake That Listened to Bocchi the Rock Song featuring Kikuri
Onkyo will start selling Japanese sake (Onikoroshi to be exact) featuring Kikuri Hiroi from Stone Bocchi. Sake is brewed while listening to the song “Watashi Dake Yuurei” by SICK HACK, an insert song in the anime series.
You can get one Onikoro sake cup set for JPY 2,880 ($18.90). The set comes with a 300 ml “Watashi Dake Yuurei” sake cup, a 180 ml box of regular Onikoroshi, and a Kikuri-shaped cloth bag. Onkyo includes two different Onikoroshi sakes so you can compare the flavors. One thing to note is that the sake from the box and the sake from the cup already taste different. So if you think Stone Bocchi For better sake taste, you should also consider different types of containers when drinking.
According to Onkyo, a banana-like aroma comes out of the sake during the fermentation process. This is quite interesting to them, because the yeast they use shouldn’t produce that flavor. The final product has a bitter, yet refreshing taste. They believe it’s all due to the vibration technology they use in the process.
