Safety Darian Thompson visits Colts on Thursday

Thompson was picked in 71st place overall by the Giants in 2016 and appeared in just two games during his rookie season, missing six competitions because of a foot injury. Thompson’s best season to date was in 2017, when he started and played in all 16 games and scored career peak on tackles (75) and defensive passes (six), while also getting his first NFL intercept.

The 28-year-old signed with the Cowboys in October 2018 and played 10 games that season, but only appeared on the field for 55 seconds. Thompson then entered 15 competitions (four starts) with Dallas in 2019 and registered 45 tackles, three guard passes and 1.5 covers.

He has made 43 successful tackles and interceptions and is forced to miss more than 15 games in 2020 for the first time in his career, but only played in five last season.
