A couple and their domestic helper were murdered at their three-story home in Delhi on Tuesday, according to police, as an “act of revenge” by a former employee.
Police said the main defendant and his girlfriend had been fired several times before by a woman, Shalu Ahuja, who ran a beauty salon on the ground floor of a building in Ashok Nagar.
She fired the duo citing “unprofessional behavior” after she discovered their relationship. Her husband Sameer Ahuja also had an argument with the main defendant when he was fired by his wife, police said.

He discussed his plan with his girlfriend and two friends – Sachin and Sujit – who agreed to help him. Then they arrested two more men.
While the bodies of Shalu and the domestic helper Sapna were found on the ground floor, Sameer was found dead on the first floor of the building with injuries to his face and head.
Their two-year-old daughter was found sleeping under a blanket on the first floor. “They didn’t kill her because they couldn’t find her,” an official said.
Police said the throats of both women had been slashed by a blunt weapon, and added that Sameer’s head had been smashed, possibly because a frying pan had been pulled from the spot.
After scanning CCTV footage, police discovered that the suspect had arrived at the home on two motorbikes at around 8am.
Officials said that when the domestic worker was at the home when the incident happened, they killed her.
Sameer and Sujit have been arrested and a search for the main mastermind, his girlfriend and two other suspects who have gone missing is underway.
