MUMBAI: A former driver working for Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam’s father, Agam Kumar (76 years old), was arrested on Wednesday, for allegedly stealing Rs72 lakh from his seventh floor apartment in Andheri ( West).
The Oshiwara police team arrested the defendant, Rehman alias Ramzan Mujjawar (30), from his Jogeshwari home. This amount will be paid to an interior designer for the renovation. Senior Inspector Rajani Salunke said the singer’s sister, Nikita, 33, had filed a complaint. Nikita, the daughter of musician Agam Kumar Nigam, declined to divulge details when asked by TOI. In her complaint, Nikita said: “My father found Rs 40 lakh lost in the locker… no sign of breaking into the house.”
