Ryan Reynolds brought his daughter James, 8, to watch Wrexham’s FA Cup match – Hollywood Life

While most Americans tune in to see the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs make their way to Super Bowl LVII, Ryan Reynolds was wrapped up in another brand of “football” on Sunday (January 29). Ryan, 46, watches Wrexham AFC, the Welsh football club he co-owns Rob McElhenney, against England’s Sheffield United FC in the FA Cup. Ryan wasn’t alone as he watched the teams play a draw with excitement: James Reynolds, his and Blake LielyHis 8-year-old daughter and her father stood in the stands.

In one of the more fun moments of the game, James put his hat on her dad’s head while he looked a little worried about his team’s chances. It was a tight back-and-forth, with both clubs trading the lead before the final whistle blew. At one point, Ryan left his seat to cheer on the club, shout as the rest gathered at Wrexhman’s home ground, The Racehorse Ground.

Blake, 35, was not there with her husband and daughter. Instead, she watched the game from their home in Los Angeles. “I bought ESPN+ today,” she captioned Instagram stories, “just to watch live my husband experiencing crippling anxiety. Valuable. If you don’t watch this crazy thing [Wrexham] game right now, you’re missing out on these vibes. They are playing higher than three leagues. And now winning. Life has no meaning.”

The match ended in a 3-3 draw. by Sheffield Oliver McBurnie scored in the second minute of the game, and it took Wrexham 48 minutes to equalize thanks to the James Jones. Wrexham took the lead when Tomas O’Connor scored in the 61st minute, but Oliver Norwood of Sheffield ended everything four minutes later. Wrexham is ready to win the game when Paul Mullin scored, but John Egan scored for Sheffield in extra time, forcing a replay.

“Very disappointing. Conceding one of the last kicks of the game from a set piece is horrible,” Wrexham striker Mullin told the BBC, per GAME. “If we can only hold out with ten people, then we will make it through. I think we were the better team throughout the game, creating a lot of chances and being dangerous at halftime. We restricted them from having many opportunities in open play.”

The FA Cup is the oldest national football tournament in the world. It’s a knockout (meaning you lose and you go home), and Wrexham are on the verge of disappointment that could send them into the fifth round of the tournament. They will instead travel to Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane for a replay on Saturday (February 4), the day before the game. is different big football game – aka Super Bowl LVII.
