Russia uses unmanned helicopters to eliminate Ukraine’s air defenses
The Russian military appears to be using its helicopter-type drone systems in an attempt to intercept Ukrainian air defense systems.
The Ukrainian military announced on Wednesday that it shot down a Russian heavy drone with the British-made Starstreak missile system.
Photos of the wreckage of this unmanned aerial vehicle system have been posted on social media.

The footage shows the drone completely disintegrating but being able to identify the propeller and tail rod as well as the label matching the Russian drone target developed by JSC CSTS Dinamika, Technodinamika Corporation.
The system with drones (target drones) is designed to simulate low-speed drones and helicopters when testing prototype and modernized weapons. It includes a helicopter-type drone with a take-off weight of more than 315 kg, a ground control station, ground support facilities for the complex and other equipment.
According to the developers, the UAV complex simulates the behavior of air targets, allowing you to test new weapons in the closest possible combat conditions.
Apparently, the Russian military is currently using these systems to determine the location of the Ukrainian air defenses.
