NEW DELHI: Foreign Minister S Jaishankar held a virtual meeting with RussiaDeputy Prime Minister cum Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov and co-chairs the India-Russia Intergovernmental Committee on Trade, Economy, Science, Technology and Cultural cooperation (IRIGC-TEC).
In a statement, the government said both sides had agreed to work together to exploit the full potential of India-Russia bilateral economic and trade relations, including through the settlement of trade deficits and trade deficits. market access issues.
IRIGC-TEC is a mechanism that regularly monitors bilateral progress in the fields of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. It was established by an agreement on the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation signed in May 1992. To date, 23 meetings of the IRIGC have been held.
“The co-chairs reviewed the progress made in the various working group and sub-group meetings under the IRIGC-TEC framework since their meeting in Moscow in November 2022 and provided guidance to prepare basis for the next in-person meeting of the IRIGC-TEC to be held in New Delhi on dates convenient to both sides,” the government said.
