Russia attacked the Ukrainian capital with a Kalashnikov kamikaze . drone

The Russian military used small kamikaze drones known as KUBs in attacks on the Ukrainian capital this week.

One of the Russian killer drones was shot down in the Podil neighborhood in Kyiv on Saturday.

The downed Light Unmanned Aircraft System was a type of kamikaze drone known as the KUB. The small UAS is developed by the subsidiary ZALA Aero, the most famous Russian gun manufacturer is the Kalashnikov. It is designed to have a top speed of about 80 mph, 30 minutes of endurance, and a 7-pound explosive payload against “remote ground targets.”

Kalashnikov says the drone – which can last up to six hours – is an extremely accurate and very effective weapon that is extremely difficult to counter with traditional air defense systems.

After launch, the drone can hover in the air to detect a target and then attack the target from the upper hemisphere, possibly performing a vertical orbit dive.

The drone, shot down in Kyiv, contains explosives (plastids) with metal balls to inflict maximum damage on people.
