Russell Westbrook opens first honor gift shop in LA
CHEAPussell Westbrooka member of the Los Angeles Lakers, who was born and raised in California and has previously played for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets and Washington Wizards, just announced on his Instagram the opening of his first Honor Gift sale. He’s ready-to-wear store this coming Saturday, September 24.
The athlete installed his shop at 130 North La Brea Avenue, the same location where rapper drake built its Very Own (OVO) store in 2015. Westbrook’s store is 2,300 square feet, known for the entire Los Angeles streetwear scene, and is located next to the popular Union store.
According to Westbrook, Honor the Gift, his ready-to-wear line announced in September 2017, is “The Story of a Boy from Inner City Los Angeles.” The father of three added that it was “A company built on the belief that you can achieve greatness no matter what obstacles stand in your way.”
The 2022 winter collection, dubbed “District,” is inspired by the Unified School Districts of Los Angeles and will celebrate the first two. “Worker” previously released collections, will be presented on the occasion of the store opening. This collection includes vegan leathers, varsity jackets, textured t-shirts, and heavy duty cable ties for men, women, and kids.
The brand is available in more than 60 stores across the US and is also offered by Selfridges in the UK, Juice Taiwan, Australia, Italy, Canada, South Korea and on the Nordstrom online store. The shop will be open to the public from noon to 4pm Honor The Gift Store
