RTCA Hosts Faith, Hope and Love Night at Breeders ‘Cup
Race Track Chaplaincy of America (RTCA) kicks off Breeders’ Cup world championship week with an amazing evening of food, worship and friendship! The first event of its kind, RTCA Night of Faith, Hope, & Love will take place on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 5pm-6:30pm at Keeneland in Silks Lawn Chalet.
All those present in town for the Breeders’ Cup, along with the horsemen and riders of the area are invited to enjoy a wonderful meal, the powerful message of guest speaker Oscar Tshiebwe, and music. led by a wonderful worship band. The Chaplain will also celebrate its 50th anniversary later that evening and honor the winner of this year’s RTCA White Horse Award.
RTCA is honored to have Oscar Tshiebwe deliver the message of the evening. In more than 100 years as a national basketball powerhouse, the Kentucky men’s team has never had a unanimous national player of the year. That was until this past season, when junior Oscar Tshiebwe wiped out every nationally recognized title. A native of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Oscar’s powerful story is a message everyone will want to hear.
Meal will be served starting at 5:00pm, with the show right after dinner. The evening is free for all Breeders’ Cup workers and teams, with a shuttle service from the dormitory to the chalet starting at 4:45pm. A limited number of tickets will also be made available to the public (visit www.rtcanational.org/events for ticket information).
Race Track Chaplaincy of America would like to thank the event’s Gold Sponsors – Breeders’ Cup, WinStar, Spendthrift, Taylor Made, Woodford Thoroughbreds, Keeneland, Edwards Moving & Rigging, and Jockey Club Safety Net. RTCA would also like to extend our deepest thanks to Keeneland and Breeders’ Cup for contributing resources to make this evening possible.
