Marathi movies ‘Me Vasantrao’, ‘Tujhya Sathi Kahi Hi’, ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ by R Madhavan, ‘Iravin Nizhal’ and ‘Vikrant Rona’ are also on the list. ‘Chhello Show’ (Last Film Show) by Pan Nalin is India’s official Oscar entry in the Foreign Film category. International films such as ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’, ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’, ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’, ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’, ‘Elvis’, ‘ The Fabelmans’ is also competing for the 95th Academy Awards.
This shortlist includes films that will compete in a variety of categories. 9,579 eligible members will vote on Thursday, January. 12 at 9:00 a.m. PST and the official Oscar nominations will be announced on January 24.
