Royal Enfield September sales up 145%: Hunter 350 gets ‘spectacular response’
Royal Enfield today announced that it sold 82,097 motorcycles in September 2022, compared to 33,529 motorcycles sold in the same month of the previous financial year, achieving a growth of 145%. The company exported 8,451 motorcycles in the month compared to 6,296 in the same period last year, marking a growth of 34%.
B Govindarajan, Chief Executive Officer, Royal Enfield said, “Excited by a strong start to the festive season this year, and by the spectacular response to the recently launched product. Hunter 350, we are pleased to see volume growth of more than 145% for the month. As we move forward, we are confident that Hunter 350 will unlock newer markets for us. ”
In related news, UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) and Royal Enfield, flagged the ‘Discover the Great Himalaya’ trip at the iconic Victoria Memorial in Kolkata. This partnership aims to contribute to the profiling, preservation and promotion of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of India. Riders will spend two weeks documenting specific Intangible Cultural Heritage practices that have been identified by a research team in collaboration with UNESCO.
Royal Enfield hosted the second season of GT with its Pro and Amateur series this year. A race weekend ended at Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore on September 16, 17 and 18, 2022.
In a one-of-a-kind first, Royal Enfield has announced the launch of the NFT featuring ten award-winning artworks from the ‘Art Of Motorcycling’ (AOM) program. Ten exclusive NFTs among award-winning designs from the previous two seasons are being introduced as NFTs to further encourage the equestrian community to express their art globally through a digital medium.
Royal Enfield will launch several motorcycle models including the new generation Bullet 350. Upcoming roadster based on 650 named twins 650 . Pistol expected to launch at the earliest later this year.
