Engine on BMW G310 GS more modern than Himalayan. It has a liquid-cooled 312 cc unit. It produces a maximum power of 33.5 hp and a maximum torque of 28 Nm. It is combined with a 6-speed gearbox and a non-slip clutch.

The 411 cc engine on the Himalayan is an oil-air-cooled long-stroke engine. It produces a maximum power of 24 hp and a maximum torque of 32 Nm. The motor is designed to provide torque in the low and medium range. The gearbox on duty is a 5-speed type.
