Rolly Romero throws out the Kambosos vs. Haney

Via Jim Calfa: Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero feels that fans are going to lose as they watch the June 5 undisputed lightweight clash between unified champion George Kambosos Jr. and WBC champion Devin Haney.

Rolly sees this as a lackluster fight between two champions who don’t have a huge fan base supporting them. However, heavyweight boxing fans will be interested in watching the Kambosos vs. Haney, because the results will have an impact on lightweight.

With kt Rolly signed with Mayweather Promotions, he is said to have no chance of being pitted against the winner of the Kambosos-Haney fight.

Mayweather Promotions likes to keep their fighters indoors, which means Rolly will likely never hit a fighter like Kambosos, Haney, Ryan Garcia, or Vasyl Lomachenko.

“The fans lost. They will pay for some s *** for which they shouldn’t be paying,” said Rolly Romero Fighthype about his thoughts on the June 5 fight between George Kambosos Jr and Devin Haney.

“Imagine if it was pay per view. You will buy it, but your job is to buy it. I will tell you. It will do up to 32,000 pay-per-view buys,” Rolly continued with downgrading the Kambosos vs Haney match.

“There is something really bad going against Devin, and that is lack of power and lack of ball. Not really. You can fight anywhere you want. It doesn’t matter,” said Rollly when told that Haney was showing bravery by agreeing to fight the Kambosos in Melbourne, Australia.

“I saw him on the bike against Jojo Diaz and Linares. So he has a genetic makeup, I feel bad for him, and he’s ugly,” Rolly said of Haney. “You can’t compare. I’m a puncher, man. . He’s a weak warrior. You cannot compare.

“I’m sorry, you can’t compare. Obviously me and the Tank,” Rolly said when asked if his fight with Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis on May 28 was bigger than the one between Kambosos and Haney.

“One, no one really cares about Kambosos unless you’re in Australia, and no one has revealed anything about Haney, even if you’re in Las Vegas where he lives,” said Rolly.

It’s clear that Rolly is bitter about the attention the Kambosos-Haney match is getting right now. Rolly shouldn’t be upset about fans being interested in seeing Kambosos (20-0, 10 KOs) undefeated and Haney (27-0, 15 KOs) complete the undisputed lightweight championship.

Of course, that must have frustrated kt Rolly because he knew he had no chance of fighting those guys as long as he was under contract with Mayweather Promotions. He would forever be on the outside looking in, unable to stand a chance to fight the top guys in the division.

Once Tank leaves Mayweather Promotions, Rolly’s options will be limited unless he moves to 147.

“So Tank is a worldwide name, and I am a worldwide name. I think it’s Devin,” Rolly said when asked who has the faster hand between Haney and Kambosos.

“I think Kambosos punches harder and has more balls than Devin. I really don’t object to that [trying to become undisputed at lightweight].

I want to be a pay-per-view star. That’s what’s important in this sport. If you don’t feel the seat, you don’t matter. It just comes from winning in general. How do you not win the belt when you are at the peak of your career,” said Rolly.

The chances of kt Rolly becoming a sought-after star are very low right now, especially if he loses to Tank Davis as most boxing fans believe he will.

I want to take down Tank, that’s my joband become a pay per view star and then become the best boxer in the world.

“No, it hasn’t come yet, but I’ve been pretty focused, and I’ve really enjoyed the training, and I’ve really enjoyed everything, and that’s good,” Rolly said when asked if the switch had come to got him excited about the upcoming May 28 battle with the Davis Tank.
