Former Indian cricketer and member of the 1983 World Cup winning team, Roger Binny is likely to become the next BCCI President to replace Sourav Ganguly according to BCCI sources. Binny previously served as a member of the BCCI selection committee. Former man Roger Binny is said to be the frontrunner to replace Ganguly as BCCI president and Jay Shah is expected to continue as BCCI secretary.
Roger Binny’s name appeared on the BCCI Election Draft (posted on the BCCI website) for the October 18 election and the Annual General Assembly as a representative of the Karnataka State Cricket Association ( KSCA) on Thursday instead of KSCA secretary Santosh Menon. All of this led to speculation about the former sailor being a pioneer for the position of BCCI President.
According to sources, Sourav Ganguly is likely to become India’s representative for the position of President of the International Cricket Council.
