Rocket League’s Octane Might Be Coming to Fortnite Battle Royale This Week
Missile FederationOctane’s landing in Fortnite in early October, as part of a collaboration between two games both owned by Epic. The vehicle is currently only available in Fortnite’s creative mode, but tweets made by both Fortnite and Rocket League suggest Octane could appear in battle royale this week.
A video posted to both the Fortnite and Rocket League Twitter accounts shows a Rocket League match car disappearing into a crack, an image that has been used in the past to advertise many of the company’s crossovers. Fortnite.
Octane is already available in Fortnite’s creative mode, giving players a preview of its special abilities, including wall climbing and power-ups.
The tweet lists November 15, when Fortnite’s next update v22.40 is scheduled to go live, meaning we’ll most likely see Octane come to battle royale once the update is done.
Maintenance for v22.40 is set to begin at 4 a.m. ET on November 15, with matchmaking halted shortly before the outage.
