Father and son duo both executive produce and star in upcoming movie Netflix comedy show Unstablehas talked to Men’s Health about how you both stay healthy. Rob revealed that he and John Owen stay in shape by surfing, golfing and working out in the backyard. “For my mood, I have to do it. I have to move my body, sweat,” 9-1-1: Lonely Star Actors talk about working out. “I really have to work to have a real day off.”

John Owen, who was follow in his father’s footsteps in an actor, revealed what he learned from Rob about eating healthy. “Mostly, it’s just a thought. I feel like he’s been taking my health very seriously since I can remember, and so he’s helped me get serious about my health,” John Owen said.
Rob explains in interview the importance Diet is to keep him healthy. “I hate that it’s an 80 percent diet. I tried everything to get through it. And I love exercise, but it doesn’t get you where you need to be at my age,” says Rob. “And that’s a damn weirdo.”

But Rob admits that he still has his days indulging in some guilty pleasure junk food. “What works for me, one day you will definitely get a good piece of cake,” he said Men’s Health. “There were times when I would run over to my grandmother for a milkshake. But that’s not all the time. So wait until then, drink the milkshake and be cool.

Rob and John Owen also spoke to Men’s Health About Unstable, where they play the role of father and son facing the pain of death in the family. John Owen, who is also the series’ lead author, explained how he relates to the show’s concept. “Your parents, whoever they are, are always critical of you. Always. Even when you’re an adult,” he said. “Your relationships change as you get older and your parents become more like your friends—but they still annoy you. As they should. You’re 59 years old and sometimes your dad annoys you.”
Now that John Owen is an actor, he’s clearly always been compared to his famous father, which he admits he doesn’t like.
John Owen admits: “The number of times I was compared to my father and the number of times he was mentioned in conversation made me feel so uncomfortable that I wanted to stay away from that as much as possible. But, as he said Men’s HealthActing and writing “just kept popping up,” and he realized he had what it took to excel in the same profession as Rob.
