Rivers: Embiid ‘feels so much better,’ doesn’t ‘want false hope’
The Philadelphia 76ers still don’t know if they will fly home Wednesday night in a 2-0 loss or a 1-1 draw in their best-ever Eastern Championship semi-final against the Miami Heat. They fell to the top seed in the East in Monday. Both teams were without Philly MVP finals star player Joel Embiid and Miami starting keeper Kyle Lowry.
Heat’s six-time All-Star Guardian has been Excluded for Game 2. Embiid would also miss Game 2, but his condition would then remain the same after suffering a concussion and orbital fracture in Game 6 of the first round. It was reported on Sunday that the team was optimistic that the big Cameroonian would benefit either Game 3 or Game 4.
Sixers head coach Doc Rivers commented on Embiid’s injury on Tuesday, but his words did not clarify any questions.
