River Indie comes with an eye-catching design.

Speaking of design, the River Indie has a different front end compared to other models currently on the market. The car is equipped with dual LED headlights at the front with integrated LED daytime running lights. It also has a fully digital 6-inch color instrument cluster, generous 20-inch legroom and LED taillights. It rides on 14-inch black alloy wheels wrapped in thick tyres. The front wheel uses a 240 mm disc brake, while the rear wheel uses a 200 mm disc. For damping duties, the scooter gets a telescopic setup at the front and a twin hydraulic system at the rear.

Interestingly, the 770 mm saddle height and 14-inch wheels of the scooter make it a bit like Yamaha Aerox and Aprilia SR160. It also comes with a claimed 18 degree gradation, which is higher than Ola S1 The Pro can ride at an incline of 15 degrees.

The EV startup claims that the River Indie has 43-litre under-seat trunk space along with a 12-litre glovebox. It also claims to come with a range of optional accessories that can be easily installed. These include basket racks on both sides and bag hooks. The scooter gets parking assistance, dual USB ports, etc.

On the powertrain front, the River Indie draws its power from an IP67-rated 4 kWh battery pack that powers a 6.7 kWh electric motor that produces 26 Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a belt drive system, pushing the EV to accelerate from 0-40 km / h in 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 90 km / h. The scooter promises to be able to travel 120 km on a single charge. The manufacturer also claims that this scooter comes with a 5-year / 50,000 km warranty.
