PlayStation and Team Ninja announced Rise of the Ronin, a new action game exclusive to PlayStation 5 circa 2024.
It was revealed during PlayStation State of Play today, and if you’re familiar with Team Ninja’s other games, you’re probably up for this one. It’s unclear if it will take on the Soul shell like other Team Ninja games (look at you, Nioh), but there are a few gameplay segments that show some battles similar to From Software’s hit series. .

As you can see, Rise of the Ronin looks quite interesting. The combat seems fast, brutal, and explosive, and the characters look hilarious. The world looks particularly unique as well, with some games appearing to take place in more rural areas of Japan and others taking place in denser villages and towns.
Unfortunately, it may be a while before we find out more as Rise of the Ronin won’t arrive on PlayStation 5 until 2024.
