Riot Games forced to close Valorant’s competitive queue, here’s why

Riot Games forced to close the competition queue in Valuable substance to exploit. This new bug disabled flash effects for players, which effectively disabled the flash capabilities of certain agents. According to a report by Dot Esports, many players have pointed out that Valorant has allowed players to turn off the flash effect through a setting in the game’s menu.

Furthermore, Riot Games also shared a tweet from Valorant’s official Twitter account to announce the disabling of the competitive queue until the issue is patched. However, the report mentions that Riot Games has fixed the exploit and re-enabled the competition queue. The report claims that the blinding effect on the flash is no longer disabled when the UI is hidden.

Why did this issue force Valorant to close its competition queue
According to the report, the bug gained a lot of attention after a Valorant player posted a video of the exploit. This issue allows the player to completely nullify the effect of any flash abilities from allies or enemies. Players can do this by going to general in-game settings, scrolling down to the More category, and enabling “Hide in-game UI”.
Enabling this setting will hide the entire interface, including – minimaps, agent icons, abilities and health, as well as chat. Additionally, enabling this setting also removes any flash effects that completely disrupt the game, and allows players to keep angles they might otherwise be completely unobscured by the flash.

The report was unable to share any information on whether the bug negated effects like myopia or tremors and how long players abused mining in the competition queue. However, Riot Games quickly responded to the game-breaking bug by lowering the match queue within two hours of the release of the player-posted video.
