Richard Sherman pleads guilty to Misdemeanor (Updated)

NFL players have been on the news all day today. Former Seattle Seahawks player Richard Sherman was back in the spotlight after pleading guilty to two misdemeanors and a traffic offence. According to a report from News Tribune. If you recall, last July, Super Bowl Champion was arrested on domestic abuse charges after he tried to break down his wife’s front door to get to her. The NFL player is walking away with what some might call a slap on the wrist.

Reports indicated that Richard had to pay $825 to the court clerk and $500 for speeding violations in a construction zone. He will also pay a determined amount to his father-in-law and the Washington Department of Transportation for speeding through a construction area. Finally, Richard will be monitored for 24 months for a fee of $480.

Additionally, the current restriction for Tampa Bay Buccaneers is to attend the School of Alcohol and Drug Information and submit evidence to the court within 60 days. He must also join the DUI Victims Council and submit proof within 60 days of enrollment. Judge Kevin Peck of King County Superior Court agreed to the terms of a plea agreement between Richard’s attorneys and prosecutors.

Judge Peck ordered Richard to serve 90 days in prison with 88 days of probation plus credit for the two days in prison he served in July 2021. Therefore, in this case, Richard will not have to face additional jail time. During the sentencing, he stood on the floor and said, “I am so grateful. I’m grateful because – you know, you go through things in life, and during those things, you make mistakes. “

Roomies, what do you think of Richard’s verdict?
