Review Roundup for God Of War Ragnarok

God of War Ragnarok is easily one of the biggest game releases of the year, and before it hits store shelves next week, reviews have surfaced online for PlayStation exclusives. It’s not surprising that God of War Ragnarok is being hailed as a year-end blockbuster with an action experience that cleverly combines eye-popping battles with plenty of thrills and thrills.

“Sony Santa Monica brings back what made the original God of War reboot so great and delivers another great story with exceptional writing,” wrote Tamoor Hussain on GameSpot’s Reviews of God of War Ragnarok. “In a game where a giant god tore all creatures from his limbs, the most terrifying moments are not bathed in blood, but carried by cynical words and sincere feelings. .”

GameSpot – 90/100

“God of War Ragnarok is a lavish work with pristine visuals, breathtaking scale, satisfyingly crisp combat as if it’s brutal, and a world that’s always been explored in every nook and cranny. It’s a blockbuster. spectacular, but these are the least of its achievements.” – Tamoor Hussain [Full review]

IGN – 10/10

“A fascinating sight to witness and an even more exciting sight to take the reins, God of War Ragnarok combines action and adventure together to create a new, unforgettable Nordic story. Perfect writing, perfect performance, knockout action – it’s a complete film of top to bottom artwork.” – Simon Cardy [Full review]

GameRadar – 4.5 / 5

“I found God of War Ragnarok overall to be a strangely detached experience. There’s a light beginning that feels cushioned – still good but lacks depth – leading to an ending that’s equally weighty for humans. But even though it feels like a 15-hour story trying to fill 30 hours of gameplay, God of War Ragnarok is easily one of the best PS5 games of the year. – Leon Hurley [Full review]

MMORPG – 10/10

“God of War Ragnarok, to put it simply, is a complete package. It tells one of the best stories in video games, a story that will make you go through a range of emotions as you play through it. Fighting the enemies of the kingdoms feels very much like the previous game, but has enough new and subtle elements to help it stand on its own.” – Jason Fanelli [Full review]

VG247 – 5/5

“Despite starting out quite similar to God of War 2018 both mechanically and graphically, God of War Ragnarok gradually built into a meaningful development for the series, expanding the scope of the game to include stealth as well. and overt, while delivering a tense and complex story. It bends myth around its characters in interesting and timeless ways.” – James Billcliffe [Full review]

Game Informer – 95/100

“God of War Ragnarök feels a lot like God of War (2018), which is a compliment considering how great that game is. Sony Santa Monica was right not to break what hasn’t been broken and the studio has masterfully continued the story themes left over from the previous game.Any complaints about the overall experience (familiar combat, collecting, and gear leveling up were not particularly enjoyable) were quickly forgotten. forget in the face of compelling story, believable character relationships, incredible visuals and animations. – – Kyle Hilliard [Full review]

The Gamer – 4/5

“God of War Rangarok is an enchanting voyage of nine kingdoms that doesn’t quite manage to justify its imbalance.” – Eric Switzer [Full review]
