Revesby shooting: Driver drives kilometers to escape gunman after car rammed and woman killed
A horrified 20-year-old man tried to drive a kilometer from where the shooting took place despite his car being hit by a hail of bullets after gunmen opened fire in a ‘planned attack’ ‘ killed two women.
Two women, aged 48 and 39, were killed in a shootout after they were fatally shot in a silver Toyota 4WD on Hendy St, Panania in Sydney’s west on Saturday night.
On Sunday, NSW Police confirmed the driver of the Toyota attempted to flee the scene of the shooting, driving less than a kilometer to nearby Weston Street in Revesby before emergency services were called.
The 48-year-old woman, identified as Lameta Fadlallah, died at the scene while a 39-year-old woman was taken to Liverpool hospital before dying.
One resident recounted the horrifying moment he saw three cars slam into the road and emergency services rushed in to try to save the women.

‘The first police car showed up, the two guys got out, everything calmed down,’ he said.
‘In an instant, everything calmed down. These two policemen went to work with the woman, and they got out of the car, and they worked really hard with her. ‘
A 16-year-old girl was also in the car and suffered a ‘strong concussion’ but was not injured.
All four people in the car are understood to be each other’s normal associates.
Speaking at a news conference on Sunday, NSW Police Detective Superintendent Danny Doherty said the attack appeared to have been ‘planned’ and blasted the attackers.
‘This was a horrifying attack on two women. They lost their lives. It was a planned murder, a real assassination, and it happened on a public street in Sydney,’ he said.
‘It’s unacceptable by any standards. It’s really unprecedented. And we are determined to have answers for the family. ‘
Mr Doherty said attackers had broken the ‘unwritten law’ in organized crime circles of ‘not touching women or families’.
One of the women has been identified as Lameta Fadlallah’s mother
Three burnt cars have been found in the surrounding suburbs, all undergoing forensic examination
The burned car was towed on Sunday afternoon
Police allege the shooting was a targeted attack
‘There used to be an unwritten law that you couldn’t touch your family and you couldn’t touch women. It was thrown out the window, they don’t care anymore,’ he said.
‘They don’t discriminate if you’re male or female. Every rule book has been thrown out, and that’s worrisome. ‘
Mr Doherty said the 48-year-old victim was known to police but said ‘it seemed like the 39-year-old woman sitting next to her was someone who was completely innocent in all of this’.
Police said it was too early to confirm whether the shooting was the latest shooting in an ongoing gang war, despite all the usual signs.
Three burned-out cars were found in the surrounding suburbs, all of which are undergoing forensic examinations.
Mr Doherty said: “This unprecedented attack needs to be judged on its own merits.
‘This was an organized, methodical, planned murder. That concerns us. We cannot avoid the fact that it is unusual and unprecedented. ‘
They found a 48-year-old woman with serious injuries. She couldn’t be revived and died at the scene
Police are appealing to the public for help.
‘We want to find those answers as much as you do. What’s important to us is the timeline of what happened. All we can tell you is, it was an extremely violent, horrible crime where two women were shot dead in a car,’ Mr Doherty said.
‘We should all be absolutely appalled that two women have lost their lives in an unprecedented attack. Whether it was organized crime affiliation or not, that was part of the investigation that looked at it.
‘There is no hint of any link to the current conflict, so we are treating the matter on its merits and the motives are still unclear. We need that information. ‘
