Of the five variants of the Innova Hycross, the top three will come with a powerful hybrid powertrain. This, as we reported earlier, is a 2.0 liter engine combined with powerful fifth-generation hybrid technology (M20A FXS). This engine, like most Toyota hybrids, uses the Atkinson or Miller cycle for more efficiency. It produces 152 hp and 187 Nm of torque combined with an electric motor for a combined output of 186 hp.

In addition, the Innova Hycross will also come with a non-hybrid version of the same 1987cc engine (M20A-FKS), with a capacity of 174 hp and 197 Nm, and only combined with a CVT gearbox. This means, both powertrain options on the Innova Hycross will not come with a manual transmission.

The Innova Hycross will come in five variants and we can confirm that the top three will have a powerful hybrid powertrain as standard while the two lower trims will come with an aspirated petrol engine. nature. According to sources, the entry-level petrol variant will be targeted only for the fleet.

As far as seating configurations go, Toyota will offer seven- and eight-seat layouts on the Innova Hycross. The seven-seat configuration will come with two chief seats for the second row with bench function while the eight-seat layout will have benches for the second and third rows. Toyota will offer three-point seat belts for all passengers, which means that the third row of seats will also have three dedicated seat belts for each passenger.
