Are you still fervently scouring the internet for wasteland for a chance to buy a PS5? Your next best bet is to visit the Walmart website. The retailer will have a bundle of PS5 in stock today, and as usual, you’ll have to be a Walmart+ member to be able to score.
Starting today (August 23) at 3 p.m. ETWalmart will have $549 Horizon Forbidden West Bundle in stock dedicated to Walmart + members. This bundle includes the standard PS5 with the drive and also gives you a copy of Sony’s popular Horizon Forbidden West game that launched earlier this year. It’s $49 more expensive than buying a PS5, but you’ll also get one of the Best PS5 game right out of the box.
This PS5 bundle brings you the standard disc-based PS5 as well as a copy of Sony’s popular Horizon Forbidden West game.
Reputable PS5 Stock Tracker Matt Swider of the Shortcuts reports that the standard PS5 disc could also go on sale today, but as of the time of this writing, the $549 Horizon bundle is the only one officially confirmed to go on sale at 3pm. As always, we expect this supplement to sell out quickly, so make sure you’re signed in to Walmart ahead of time with all of your pertinent payment information ready.
Walmart + basically Walmart’s answer to Amazon Prime, giving you perks like free shipping, free shipping from local Walmart stores, and early access to board deals and discounts controller for $12.95 per month or $98 per year. While there’s a 30-day free trial, you need to be a paid member to take part in this PS5 sale.
PS5 restores have been quite popular later this year, although they’re usually reserved for people who already subscribe to the premium service. Walmart regularly drops Walmart+, while GameStop recently had a store restore that gave it PowerUp Pro first member dibs. At Amazon you can request an invitation let the store’s future PS5 drop, regardless of whether you’re a Prime member or not.
