The search came as political figures accused Donald Trump of taking classified documents from the White House, AP news agency reported.
When news of the search broke, many Republicans took to Twitter and expressed that the GOP should disband the organization.

Donald Trump issued a statement and stated in part:
Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before.” He also called the raid “a dark period.
