Microsoft announced in January that Starfield will have its own special showcase in 2023. Microsoft didn’t include Starfield in the January 25 Developer Direct event so that it can give Starfield enough time and space shine. Starfield has been one of Microsoft’s biggest games in years, so there’s a reason the company doesn’t want to include it in another event.
“To spend the right amount of time delving into Bethesda Game Studios’ Starfield, a standalone program is in the works,” Microsoft said in January.
When this show will air, however, is still unknown at this stage. The game is expected to launch in the first half of 2023 on Xbox and PC, after a delay from 2022. Starfield won’t have an original Xbox One version but it will be available on that console via Cloud game.
The Starfield Showcase is one of many events that Microsoft is said to be preparing for 2023, another event this June in Los Angeles. This may not be a E3 2023 official eventhowever, as it is believed that Microsoft will not have an official presence at the summer expo.
Starfield will be Bethesda Game Studios’ first new release since Fallout 76 2018. After Starfield, BGS will release Scroll of the Bible 6 And Consequences 5.
